Lawrence Nwimo, Awka The National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Friday, set on fire drugs worth N1trillion discovered to be fake, counterfeit and substandard. The Director-General, NAFDAC, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, performed the function at Anambra State Dumpsite in Awka, the state capital. The accusations which were detailed in a report titled, “Investigation Exposes Alarming Abuse of Detainees at Police’s Tiger Base,” authored by Juliana Francis, alleged instances of torture, unlawful detentions, extortion, and extrajudicial killings within the Anti-Kidnapping Unit. Ugo Nosiri, Owerri The Imo State Police Command has arrested 64-year-old Barrister Donald Mbamah, in connection with the shooting of a 16-year-old student, Paul Victor, on March 17, 2025.
