Ben Ezechime, Enugu Troops of Sector 2 (Ebonyi) of the Joint Task-Force “Operation UDO KA” have conducted a raid on the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate Eastern Security Network (ESN) Camp located at Mgbalukwu in Inyimagu, Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi. The successful raid was carried out by the army troops in conjunction with personnel of Nigeria Police Force; Department of State Security and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps based on credible intelligence. Lawrence  Nwimo, Awka A middle-aged man, Onuora Innoma, has been arrested for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl in Ado Girls Secondary School, Onitsha, Anambra State. Police Public Relations Officer Tochukwu Ikenga disclosed this to newsmen in Awka, Thursday, noting  that the suspect has admitted to the crime during interrogation. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, Thursday night, assented to a bill stopping former Governors of the state and their Deputies from receiving pension. The bill known as the “Abia State Governors and Deputy Governors Pensions (Repeal) Law, 2024,” was passed into law by the State House of Assembly on Tuesday. Ugo Nosiri, Owerri Imo state Governor Senator, Hope Uzodimma, has reappointed Chief Cosmas Iwu as Secretary to the Government of Imo State; Chief Nnamdi Anyaehie as Chief of Staff; and Sydney Agbo as Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Power challenge will soon be history in Abia State and by extension, the South-East geopolitical zone, by the time the 1,074 megawatts power plant at Alaoji, Ugwunagbo Local Government Area, comes on board.
