Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia A university lecturer, Dr Philips Nto, of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, MOUAU, Abia State, has advocated strategies aimed at the implementation of value addition in agricultural products as a means of averting the annual post-harvest losses. The Director, Agribusiness Incubation Centre (ABIC), tasked the federal and state governments to initiate and implement policies that would help farmers preserve their harvests, especially perishable crops. …Says Umuahia-Bende fed road has expired Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Commissioner for Information, Abia State, Prince Okey Kanu, has hinted that five additional roads reconstructed by the Gov. Alex Otti-led administration, were ready for inauguration. This is as he said that the 19.5 kilometer Umuahia-Bende federal road had expired and required total reconstruction, but noted that the permission of the Federal Government would first be obtained. The event, organised by the State Ministry of Health in collaboration with the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), and the Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS). The workshop themed: “MIL in Youths Organisations,” was held in collaboration with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in Awka, Anambra State capital.
