Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, took Nigerians by surprise Wednesday when his refinery in Lagos, slashed  the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, commonly referred to as petrol, by N65.00. Resultantly, petrol effective will now sell for N825 per liter from the N890 it previously sold. Dangote’s refinery, in a statement, said this adjustment was designed to provide essential relief to Nigerians ahead of the Ramadan season. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Two suspected members of a tricycle-snatching syndicate notorious for dispossessing operators and passengers of their belongings have been arrested by the operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command.
