Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia President Bola Tinubu has written to the Senate, seeking approval to sack the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioners, REC, in charge of Abia, Adamawa, and Sokoto states. The trio were accused of involvement in electoral misconduct in 2023 although they denied any culpability. Tinubu’s request was contained in a letter he addressed to the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia President Bola Tinubu has approved 65 years as the retirement age for doctors and other healthcare workers in the country. Ikengaonline recalls that before the latest review, 60 years was the retirement age for these affected category of workers. This was contained in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Medical Association, Dr Mannir Bature. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Anambra State Government has demolished more than four buildings used as hideouts by kidnappers at Umu-Umejiaku Nnewi, and Umuogbo Obiofia Nnewi-Ichi, all in Nnewi North Local Government Area. Ugo Nosiri, Owerri  Operatives of Police Command in Imo State, Okigwe divisional headquarters, in collaboration with residents of Ogii community, have arrested three suspects found in possession of a human skull.  The three individuals arrested, Patrick Okoere (29), Ifeanyichukwu Anyaemeka (28), and Chukwuemeka Onyekachi (20), who were arrested along the Okigwe-Umuahia Express Road, also had a native hen and white garments in their possession.  During questioning, the culprits claimed to have found the human skull along a riverbank on the Okigwe-Umuahia Expressway, an area where the command had received cases of kidnappings. Ben Ezechime, Enugu  Governor Peter Mbah on Tuesday signed into law, the bill to create a one-stop shop for tax collection and administration in Enugu State, thereby ending multiple taxation in the state. While signing the law, the governor, also declared the Enugu State Internal Revenue Service (ESIRS) autonomous.
