Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki The Police in Ebonyi State have arrested 17 suspects who allegedly burnt a man to death over alleged witchcraft. Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated this in a statement on Sunday. He said the incident happened on January 3rd in Enohia Itim village, Afikpo North Local Government Area. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki A non-governmental organisation, MSL Foundation, has awarded scholarship to 30 indigent undergraduates studying in various universities across the country. The beneficiaries received a cheque of N120,000 each during the flag-off of the scholarship scheme in Abakaliki, the state capital. The foundation noted that the scholarship was to enable students from Abakaliki Local Government Area to be literate, lamenting that the people lack education. Ben Ezechime, Enugu President Bola Tinubu has said that his administration is committed to completing the Eastern Rail line project connecting Port Harcourt through Enugu to Maiduguri. Tinubu gave the assurance at an interactive session with South-East leaders during his official state visit to Enugu State on Saturday. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, has lambasted the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited, NNPCL, for inviting him to visit the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries, describing the invitation as “disrespectful.” Recall that NNPCL had, through its image maker, Olufemi Soneye, invited the former President for a tour of the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries, after Obasanjo had in a national television, recounted failed efforts to privatise oils refineries in the country.
