Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has signed the 2025 Appropriation Bill into Law. Soludo gave assent to the bill at the Governor’s lodge, Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area, Monday. Recall that Anambra State’s budget size is N606,991,849,118 for the 2025 fiscal year. While recurrent expenditure accounts for N139.5 billion; capital expenditure is N467.5 billion. The capital expenditure constitutes 77% of the total budget size, while the recurrent expenditure accounts for 23%. Performing the function, Governor Soludo expressed optimism that the budget will catalyse change in the state in the coming year.

Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki  The State House of Assembly has passed the total sum of N444, 978,000,000 billion into law as budget for the year 2025. The State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, had presented a proposed budget of N398.69bn to the House three weeks ago. Ben Ezechime, Enugu  Troops of Joint Task Force South-East, code-named “Operation UDO KA” said they have neutralised 13 armed members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and nabbed three kidnappers in teh South-East. The Spokesman of Operation UDO KA, Lt.-Col.
