The initiative was aimed at equipping students with practical skills as well as enhancing their productivity and employability upon graduation. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Ebonyi State Government is set to hand over the State’s Aeronautics University under construction to the Federal Government to be used for the establishment of the South-East College of Aviation. Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Enugu State Government has earmarked N2 billion in 2025 for massive farm estates across the 260 political wards in the state meant to return everybody to the farm. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has finally approved the request by telecommunication operators for tariff hike in response to rising operational costs. NCC approved a 50% tariff hike by the telecom companies. This was contained in statement issued on Monday by Reuben Muoka, the NCC’s Director of Public Affairs. According to the statement, the adjustmnent is in line with Section 108 of the Nigerian Communications Act, 2003, adding that the new tariffs would remain within the limits outlined in its 2013 Cost Study.
