Ugo Nosiri, Owerri Yet to be identified gunmen have kidnapped the former chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri. Report says the traditional ruler was whisked away by the hoodlums from his palace in Orodo Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State, to an undisclosed location. Report from community members says the four-man heavily armed gang drove into the palace in a green-coloured Toyota Highlander, picked the monarch and fled, while his cousin escaped. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Anthony Okorie Ani on Saturday emerged the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the Ebonyi South senatorial bye-election in February. He was the only candidate for the primaries. Chairman of the electoral panel, Akin Akinsehinwa, announced the result of the primary election. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has said that his administration will sign executive order that will prohibit sand mining in Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area.
