Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Gunmen on Monday attacked Umunze police station in Orumba South Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State, killing two officers in the process. The gunmen also destroyed many properties including motorcycles parked at the premises of the station. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Former Minister for Power, Professor Bart Nnaji, has denied any involvement in land grabbing in his home state, Enugu, contrary to some media reports. Ugo Nosiri, Owerri Police operatives in Imo state have successfully repelled an attack on the Njaba Divisional Headquarters by suspected hoodlums. The attackers, arriving in three SUVs, launched a violent assault on the headquarters with sporadic gunfire.
