Lawrence Nwimo, Awka A 30-year-old teacher has been arrested for allegedly beating an 8-year old pupil to coma in Landmark School Mgbakwu in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State. Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, who disclosed this to reporters in her office on Monday, also announced the permanent closure of the school. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Seventy-nine years old man, Paul Idu and 47 years old woman, Elizabeth Amos Agbudu of Igede village, Akparata, Effium in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State have been beheaded. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka One person has reportedly died, and several properties damaged when fire broke out at the Bishop Crowther Memorial Seminary School, Awka, Anambra State. The cause of the fire is yet-to-be ascertained, but it was gathered that the incident occurred around 11.30 pm. It was also gathered that the fire damaged the school’s hostel, including mattresses and other students’ belongings. Ben Ezechime, Enugu Farmers in Obimo Community Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State has called on Governor Peter Mbah to provide farming equipment including tractors to the community. Mr Chamberlain Ugwuoke, Chairman of Farmers Association and the President of Izunwanne Obimo Multi Purpose Corporative Society, made the call in Obimo. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki A renewed hostility claimed the lives of two persons and destroyed property worth millions of naira in lkachi village, Akparata, Effium in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. It was learnt that those killed were beheaded while seven people were kidnapped and five houses were completely burnt down.
