Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Anambra State Government has announced fresh arrangements for the burial of its former governor, Chukwuemeka Ezeife (Okwadike). Ezeife was the Governor of Anambra State between January 2, 1992, and November 1993. He died at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja on December 14, 2023, at the age of 86. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia American Military Veterans of Igbo Descent (AVID), has accused Governor Hope Uzodimma of masterminding the continued detention of the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The allegation was contained in an open letter to Uzodimma jointly signed by AVID President, Chief Sylvester Onyia; and Secretary, Dr Godson Obiagwu.
