Ọnụ, who was a former Minister of Science and Technology under the Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, died in an Abuja Hospital. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Gunmen on Thursday attacked a police check point along the Abakaliki-Enugu Highway setting a patrol van belonging to the Police ablaze. The incident happened at Ishieke junction at the outskirts of Abakaliki town. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has issued a stern warning to cultists perpetrating crimes in Awka, Anambra State capital, to change from their evil ways. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka A joint team of security forces has busted insurgents’ camps during a raid of forests in Ogbaru Local Government Area, Anambra State. Spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the team, recovered nine Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and four Walkie Talkie from the camps found during the operation.
