Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Enugu State Government has inaugurated a taskforce to provide surveillance and protection to public assets in the state. Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), stated this during the inauguration of the taskforce at the Government House, Enugu. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has slammed former chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Professor Chidi Odinkalu, for comments he made on the arrest of crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky. Bobrisky was arrested at Pinnock Estate in Lagos State on Wednesday, April 3, and detained in the Lagos command office of the EFCC, an action Odinkalu had described as an abuse of power. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Police in Anambra State have reassured residents of their drive to eliminate cultism, kidnappings, and all manner of crimes and criminality in the state. Ugo Nosiri, Owerri A middle aged man by name Ikechukwu Kalu, has been successfully rescued from death by security and staff of Assumpta Cathedral Church Owerri, when he tried committing suicide. Ben Ezechime, Enugu Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has given financial assistance to officers of  the Enugu State Transport Management Authority (ESTMA), who were injured while on duty. The Governor, through his representative,. Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Obi Ozor, presented financial aid to three deserving officers. He emphasised that the state was committed to the well-being of its dedicated civil servants. The beneficiaries, Engr.
