Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, has criticized the decision of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), to increase the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) to 22.5% and the Cash Reserve Ratio, CRR, to 45%. Aside the land, the church also protested over the demolition of the church fence by Chiakwa at the Central Methodist Church located at No 1A Zik Avenue, Uwani Enugu, where the land in dispute was domiciled.
