Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Nigeria Police Force Command in Enugu State has paraded 15 suspected criminals for various offences across the state. The offences include conspiracy, murder, kidnapping, armed robbery, rape, unlawful possession of firearms and fraudulent acts. The Police Public Relation Officer in the State DSP Daniel Ndukwe paraded the suspects on behalf of the Police Commissioner. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka A federal lawmaker representing Ihiala Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Honourable Pascal Agbodike, has tasked President Bola Tinubu to explore the option of granting amnesty to gunmen terrorising some parts of Anambra and other areas in the South-East. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka There is anger in Anambra State following decision of the State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo to ban members of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) from holding meetings in the State. Ben Ezechime, Enugu No fewer than 988 personnel have been deployed by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for the Eid-El-Kabir 2023 Special Patrol Operation in Enugu State. The Sector Commander of FRSC Enugu State Command, Mr Joseph Toby, told newsmen on Tuesday in Enugu that the command had already deployed 18 vehicles and two motorbikes for the operation. According to Toby, the command has deployed 770 officers and regular marshals as well as 218 special marshals who are volunteers as well. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, has directed immediate payment of June salary of Abia workers. This directive was contained in a press statement issued Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Kazie Uko. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki In a bid to improve the surveillance capabilities of the state, the Ebonyi Ministry of Information Communications Technology has ordered all hotels to install surveillance systems in their premises immediately.
