Lawrence Nwimo, Awka A socio-cultural group, Ndigbo Unity Forum (NUF) has called for the immediate release of Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate in Lagos State, Chief Frederick Nwajagu. The group accused security agencies of preferential treatment by arresting the Igbo leader and leaving those who they claimed triggered off the attacks, maiming and killing of Ndigbo in Lagos during the just concluded general election. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Stakeholders have raised alarm over the use of chemicals to harvest fish in Nkporo Community in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State. The stakeholders including health workers and Non-Governmental Organisations, NGOs, equally expressed concern over lack of potable water as well as the deplorable condition of Primary Health Care, PHC centres in many communities across the state. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has vowed to avenge the killing and abduction of its members by security forces in Nigeria. In what it tagged ‘black Friday,’ the group alleged that security agencies in a joint military operation, massacred no fewer than 50 pro-Biafran supporters in Aba Abia State on Friday.
