The traders numbering over 400 are drawn mainly from the popular Coal Camp spare parts market in Enugu metropolis. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has explained why it shifted the governorship and state assembly elections earlier scheduled for Saturday, March 11. Both elections according to the electoral umpire, will now hold on Saturday, March 18. The decision to postpone the polls was taken at INEC Management meeting convened Wednesday in Abuja after the commission’s request to reconfigure the Bi-modal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS machines was granted by the Court of Appeal. The new date for the elections is now March 18, 2023. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Police in Ebonyi State have killed three gunmen who attacked residents in Ivo Local Government Area of the State. Police spokesperson, Onome Onovwakpoyeya, stated this in a statement on Wednesday. The Returning Officer that came from the National Secretariat of NLC, Mr  Mike Ike Ene, declared Comrade Ogugua Egwu of ASUU as the duly elected chairman of NLC in the State. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has been granted its request to reconfigure the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS  used for the February 25 presidential and national assembly elections. Presidential Election Petition Court sitting at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, granted the request on Wednesday.
