Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has said that at least four persons have been killed in various parts of the State following the disbandment of Ebubeagu. Though the governor did not give details of the killings, he reiterated that the two new vigilante outfits he formed will be empowered to fight crime and criminality. Commissioner for Works, Dr Cosmos Ndukwe, who made the commendation during inspection of some projects in Aba and its suburbs, assured that more infrastructural projects would be delivered before the expiration of Ikpeazu’s tenure. Ben Ezechime, Enugu A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), African Network For Peace And Good Governance (ANPG) has cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), against postponing the February 25, and March 11, general election in Nigeria. The Executive Director of the organisation, Mr Bede Aneke, said this in a statement entitled, “2023 Elections: Four Mistakes INEC should not Repeat.” Aneke said that INEC should conduct both the Presidential and Governorship election as scheduled.
