Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Ebonyi State Government has approved the distribution of palliatives to residents to cushion the effects of hardships caused by the currency redesign policy of the Federal Government. The State governor, David Umahi stated this on Friday in Abakaliki, the state capital during an expanded State Security Council Meeting. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi on Friday announced the suspension of Ebubeagu South-East Security Outfit and setting up of two new vigilante outfits to replace it. The two new outfits are Ebonyi State Neighbourhood Watch and Ebonyi State Vigilante Corps. This followed the passage of a new law setting up the two outfits by the State House of Assembly and signing of same into law by the Governor. Ben Ezechime, Enugu A total of 800 applicants have applied to become Customary Court judges in Enugu State. President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Chibueze Nnamani, disclosed this in Enugu at the conclusion of the examination set for the applicants. He said that the exercise would select the best persons fit to be Customary Court judges, adding that there were 459 vacant positions to be filled.
