Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Federal Government, on Saturday, paid the fines and released 11 (eleven) inmates in four custodial centres in Enugu State in its aggressive initiative to decongest overcrowded custodial centres nationwide. The four custodial centres in Enugu State included: Enugu, Nsukka and Oji River Custodial Centres as well as Ibiteolo Farm Centre in Ezeagu LGA. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki The Federal Government has officially taken delivery of the newly constructed second Niger Bridge. The Contractor, Julius Berger, handed over the project to Minister of Works, David Umahi on Sunday. Ugo Nosiri, Owerri The Imo State police command has arrested suspected killers of a Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of Ahiazu Mbaise Council of the state and an Inspector attached to him. Two police officers including one civilian were attacked and killed at Ahiara Junction by suspected gunmen while on a patrol exercise of the area very recently.
