Lawrence Nwimo, Awka As the preparations for the burial of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s father, Pa Simeon Soludo, continue, kinsmen in his community have threatened to boycott the burial following disagreement with burial date fixed by the family. Ikengaonline learnt that Soludo’s father who died on November 6, 2023, has been fixed for burial on December 23 by the family. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Member representing Anambra East constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Obi Nweke, has condemned the recent communal clash between Nneyi Umueri and Enugwu Nsugbe communities both in Anambra East Local Government Area. The communities who share boundaries have fallen apart over perennial land dispute. The recent clash led to the death of two persons while some others sustained injuries, while many houses and properties were also destroyed and set ablaze. Peter Mbah of Enugu State has inaugurated a 120 million litres of water per day scheme for Enugu residents, which was part of his electioneering campaign promises to the people. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, MOUAU, will, in two months time, begin commercial production of animal feeds, the management of the institution has revealed.
