Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The son of the paramount traditional ruler of Isuochi ancient kingdom, HRM Eze Godson Ezekwesiri (Ochi 1 of Isuochi), Prince Ikedi Ezekwesiri, was Wednesday evening attacked by bandits operating along the notorious Leru- Isuochi axis. Prince Ikedi, former member of the Abia State House of Assembly was returning to Isuochi with his 11-year old son when the incident happened. He sustained serious gunshot wounds in his left hand and is currently hospitalised in Umuahia the state capital. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Doctors in Abia State, Thursday, besieged the Government House Umuahia, to protest 24-month salary arrears owed their colleagues at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital Aba, ABSUTH; and Health Management Board. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Police in Anambra State have confirmed the killing of three security operatives in Ihiala Local Government Area of the state. The gunmen were said to have attacked the operatives at the local government secretariat, while also beheading one of the slain operatives. The gunmen reportedly used an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to burn down about five buildings in the area. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka The Independence Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has rated the Federal College of Education (Technical) Umunze, Anambra State high in its evaluation exercise of Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) for the year 2022. Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri Elderly men, women and youths of Arondizuogu, Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, on Wednesday continued to protest over the alleged killings and burning of vehicles by suspected hoodlums in their communities. Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Enugu State Polytechnic, Iwollo, Ezeagu Local Government Area, says it has established a Business and Innovation School (EBIS), offering executive training on business management and leadership, technical, vocational and digital skills.
