Labour Party, which said Obi had to link whatsoever with IPOB, claimed that the attempt to associate its presidential flag bearer was aimed at de-marketing Obi’s candidature. Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri Unidentified gunmen on Wednesday, allegedly attacked Governor Hope Uzodimma’s General Manager for Owerri Capital Development Authority, OCDA, Mr Francis Chukwu. It was gathered from an eyewitness that the attack took place around Ishinweke in the Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area of the state at about 06:25 pm. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki The Police in Ebonyi State, South-East of Nigeria on Wednesday, said its Tactical Team killed gunmen suspected to be members of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN) during a shootout. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia An accountant with the Federal College of Education, Eha-Amufu, Mr Emmanuel Sombo, has been jailed for 304 years for forgery and stealing of N34. 9 million from the school funds.
