Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia President Muhammadu Buhari, has forwarded the name of his Special Assistant on new Media,  Lauretta Onochie, to the Senate for confirmation as Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC. Onochie’s name was sent to the Senate along with other 15 nominees as members of the NDDC Board. The President expressed delight that the redesigned naira notes were locally produced by the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting (NSPM) Plc. Buhari gave reasons for approving the redesigning of the currency notes, saying they are fortified with security features that make it difficult to counterfeit.
