Lawrence Nwimo, Awka The Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, on Thursday presented a budget estimate of N258.9bn to the state Assembly. The budget tagged, “Budget of Acceleration,” was presented at the State Legislative Chambers, Awka. It was made up of a capital budget of N164.2bn, accounting for 63.2 per cent of the budget with a recurrent expenditure of N95.5bn, accounting for 36.8 per cent of the budget. Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri The Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, on Thursday called on the members of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, to restrain themselves from the temptation of publishing unofficial results in the 2023 general election. Uzodimma made this call in Owerri, while declaring open the 18th edition of the 3-day, All Nigeria Editors Conference in the state. Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Enugu State Ministry of Gender Affairs, says it will ensure the prosecution of youths who stripped a widow, Mrs Anthonia Okonkwo of Nmaku Community in Awgu Local Government Area of the state.
