Lawrence Nwimo, Awka A Professor at the Department of Radiology, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Kenneth Chukwudi Eze, has urged the Federal Government to address issues affecting power supply and infrastructure to improve high-tech medicine in the country. Delivering his inaugural lecture titled: “Radiology In Nigeria: High-Tech Medicine in Technology-Challenged Low Resource Setting,” Prof Eze said constant electricity and adequate infrastructure are both critical to the growth of high-tech medicine in the country. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has announced the abolition of all payment of fees and levies in all government-run public schools in the state. Governor Soludo stated this at Premier Primary School, Obosi and Ado Girls Secondary School, Onitsha. Before now, public schools in the state were tuition-free but all manner of levies were indiscriminately imposed on the pupils in virtually all the schools in the state. Ugo Nosiri, Owerri The Imo State Police Command, has vowed to fish out the killers of security operatives at Ehime Mbano on Monday. Ikengaonline had reported that eight security operatives were ambushed and killed by yet-to-be-identified attackers who later set their patrol vans ablaze. Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) has assured its customers that had earlier paid for meters before the effective date of the reviewed cost of meter, that the new cost will not affect their application. “All payments for meters previously made under the Meter Asset Provider (MAP) scheme before Sept. 5, 2023, will be processed using the old meter cost.
