Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri Striking thunder has allegedly killed two youths in the Ndegwu community of Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State. The names of the victims were given as  Emeka Mbah from Umuejekubi, Umuahum and Chigbo Odionye from Umuadi Umuogwuta, all in the Ndegwu community, Owerri West LGA. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has announced the payment of the sum of hundred thousand Naira before bereaved families can paste posters of their dead loved ones in the state. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka A Federal High Court sitting in Awka has sentenced a 21-year old man to seven months in prison for raping his 14 year-old younger sister. The convict, Mr Chinedu Eziuzo from Adazi-Enu in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, raped his sister in 2021 but was arrested this year on May 31, 2022. Delivering judgment, the presiding judge, Dr Nnamdi Dimgba, said the sentence will start from the day of arrest. The convict was further handed down a non-custodial sentence of community service that will last not less than three hours each day.
