Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Abia State Government has given reasons it is embarking on a 219-kilometer road projects, explaining that the initiative is to beef up the infrastructure deficit in the state. Ugo Nosiri, Owerri Six operatives of “Operation Search and Flush,” have been paraded by the Imo State Police Command. The suspects were said to have extorted sums of money from unsuspecting civilians at different locations in the state. The supplementary appropriation bill of 58 billion, 95 million, 482 thousand 293 naira only (58,095,482,293) was read for the first, second and third time by the lawmakers.
