Ugo Nosiri, Owerri Government and private establishments in Owerri the Imo State capital recorded a scanty turnout of staff today due to the two days warning strike declared by the Nigerian Labour Congress. Alex Otti. Dissatisfied with the outcome of the March 18 governorship poll, candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Ikechi Emenike and his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, counterpart, Okey Ahiwe, respectively, approached the tribunal and asked for the sack of the Governor. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Labour Party has has raised concern over some skirmishes and veiled utterances by some persons including top Government officials and highly placed personalities ahead of Wednesday’s judgment of the Presidential Election Petitions Court, PEPC, in the suits challenging the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to Labour Party, some of the unguarded utterances particularly the one by retired Justice of the Supreme Court, Mary Odili, is highly preemptive. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Global technology company, Google, has appointed Anambra State-born Alex Okosi as its African region’s Managing Director, Ikengaonline reports. Meir Brand, Vice President of EMEA Emerging Markets at Google, disclosed this recently. Until this new appointment, Okosi, an indigene of Onitsha, Anambra State, was the Managing Director for YouTube in EMEA Emerging Markets. He was educated in Enugu until the age of 12, before finishing his education in the USA.
