Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri Markets, shops and banks were Tuesday shut down in compliance with the sit-at-home order of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, as President Muhammadu Buhari visited Imo State to inaugurate some projects. The sit-at-home order issued by IPOB was in solidarity with their detained leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who appeared in court on Tuesday. Ikengaonline observed that key streets including Wethedral Road, Tetlow, Egbu, Akwakuma and Amakohia roads were empty. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Labour Party governorship flag bearer in Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, has raised the alarm that agents of the Abia State Government, are illegally removing his campaign billboards and that of other candidates of the party despite collecting N10M million signage fee from them. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Members of the Ebubeagu Security Network in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, have arrested four persons suspected to be members of a suspected one-chance armed robbery and kidnapping syndicate. They were arrested along the Amaeze-Ugwueziato-Agwu Expressway near the border with Enugu State at the weekend. The Council Chairman, Aja Ogbonna, confirmed their arrest to Ikengaonline.
