Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The menacing activities of bandits and kidnappers wreaking havoc around Umunneochi-Ihube-Okigwe axis reached its crescendo Wednesday when they abducted people conveying a corpse from Abraka in Delta State to Isuikwuato community of Abia State. A family member who spoke with Ikengaonline said the bizarre incident had thrown the family into confusion. The incident, according to the source, took place around Umunneochi/ Ihube Okigwe axis of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Operatives of the South-East Security outfit, Ebubeagu have again allegedly destroyed campaign billboards of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ebonyi State. The Ebubeagu operatives allegedly attacked members of the party in Okposi and Ugwulangwu communities in Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state who were mounting the billboards on Tuesday. Ms Mwafor was allegedly beaten to death by a security guard working at the site of the Ebonyi International Airport, Onueke, Ebonyi State, Chukwuma Anyigor popularly known as “Ite Igwe.” The victim was until her death an SS 1 student of Izo High School in Ezza North Local Government Area. Michael Onwuka, Enugu The Federal Government on Thursday launched the Technical and Vocation Education and Training (TVET) Programme under its Project T-MAX Initiative in Enugu State The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Education Interventions, Mr Fela Bank-Olemoh, said the project was aimed at training 15, 000 persons across seven pilot states in their chosen fields. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Some stakeholders have called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to consider reactivating the Disability Rights Commission (DRC) in Anambra state.
