Michael Onwuka, Enugu The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offenses Commission (ICPC) has trained no fewer than 50 anti corruption agents in 25 Federal Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the South-East. The Chairman, Prof. Bolaji Owasonoye disclosed this on Friday in Enugu during a ‘Two-Day Capacity Building Workshop and Zonal Consultative Forum for Anti Corruption Transparency Unit (ACTU) Executives in the South-East.’ Owasonoye was represented at the event by a board member of ICPC, Sen. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki The Police in Ebonyi State have arrested a 19 years old suspected serial rapist who specializes in molesting and robbing victims in Abakaliki, capital of the state. Police spokesperson, Chris Anyanwu, stated this at a briefing at the C Division of the police command on Friday. He gave the name of the suspect as Miracle Onwe, an indigene of Ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu local government area of the state. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka A group from Nkerehi community, Orumba South Local Government Area, have protested the purported change of the community’s name to Umuchukwu without due consultation with stakeholders of the community and members of town union executive.
