Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The nationwide protest declared by the organised labour over the hike in fuel price, took a dramatic turn Wednesday in Abuja when angry protesters pulled down one of the gates to the National Assembly, and invaded the premises. Despite stiff resistance by security operatives at the premises, the protesters who chanted anti-government songs forced themselves into the premises. The protest to the National Assembly complex was led by the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Festus Osifo. The list was delivered to the Senate by Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila. Dr Vwaere, a graduate of Babcock University met her untimely death Wednesday morning when an elevator conveying her from the 10th floor of the hospital crashed. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Protesters who participated in the nationwide protest declared by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in Abia State Wednesday, called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign if he was bereft of ideas to fix the various challenges of the country.
