Nonsochukwu Uwa, Uwa A yet to be identified young man, Thursday night was found dead at the transformer near the Government Secondary School, Owerri, Imo State. An eyewitness at the school who did not want to his name mentioned told newsmen that the man’s body had been burnt beyond recognition. According to him, the dead man was suspected to have engaged in trying to steal cables and vandalise the transformer but luck ran out of him as there was sudden restoration of public power and he was electrocuted. Nonsochulwu Uwa, Owerri Security operatives on Saturday afternoon foiled an attempt to kidnap the owner of a jewelry shop along Ikenegbu Street, close to Kilimanjaro eatery, in Owerri, Imo State. And in doing so, the operatives shot dead the driver of the said kidnappers and arrested two other suspects. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Three persons have been arraigned before the Ebonyi State Magistrate Court on a two-count charge for allegedly defrauding prospective job seekers over N11.3m.
