Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Anambra State Government has stated that it would ban the services of Moniepoint in the state. Ikengaonline learned that the statement followed reported cases of financial rascality and fraudulent activities of the coordinators in the state. Recall that the State Government had engaged the services of Moniepoint to assist in collecting taxes from the residents. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Two Assistant Inspectors General of Police, Frank Mba and Bala Ciroma, have been promoted to rank of Deputy Inspectors General of Police. Their promotion was contained in a statement issued Friday by the Spokesperson of the Police Service Commission, PSC, Ikechukwu Ani. According to the statement, DIG Ciroma will replace DIG Ali Janga, who has retired from service and represented the North-East geopolitical zone in the Police Management Team. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Anambra State High Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State, has ordered the remand of an Abuja-based businessman and community leader, Chief Dennis Ezebuilo, at Awka Correctional Center till 20th June 2023 for his bail application.
