Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Anambra State Government has set September 30, as the official date to outlaw dumping of refuse and other waste materials on the road and along the streets of the state. The law, Ikengaonline learnt, was to ensure that Anambra State becomes  one of the cleanest in the country, by December this year. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has given reasons some cattle were killed at Lokpanta in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State, explaining that the affected animals were grazing on people’s farms in violation of the anti-grazing law in the state. IPOB said the killing of the cattle was not targeted against Fulani legitimate business interest but a defense against the criminal activities of herders hiding under cattle rearing to perpetrate insecurity in the area. Michael Onwuka, Enugu Public primary school teachers in Enugu State on Wednesday began an indefinite strike over the non-implementation of the N30, 000 minimum wage in the primary school sub-sector. Recall that the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) and its Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) counterpart had on June 21 issued the state and local governments seven days ultimatum to implement the new minimum wage.
