The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Wednesday, adjourned plenary indefinitely over fears of a possible impeachment plot by some lawmakers. Mr Gbajabiamila, who presided over plenary after weeks of recess, called for an adjournment over speculation of his impeachment. He hinged the adjournment on the current induction by members-elect. Ben Ezechime, Enugu The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has called for more private sector enrollment as in the programme to achieve better healthcare for Nigerians. The Director General of the Authority, Prof. Mohammed Sambo, made the call on Wednesday at a Stakeholders Consultative Meeting held in Enugu. Sambo, who spoke through the Enugu Zonal Coordinator of NHIA, Mrs Ocho Ahunna, said the meeting was designed to evaluate the programme implementation at the grassroots by implementing partners. Our Reporter, Abuja Former President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and former Prelate of Methodist Church, Dr Sunday Mbang has died. He was aged 86. The news of his death was conveyed in a statement signed by the Secretary of Conference of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Rt. Revd Dr Babatunde Taiwo. The statement said that the first black president of the world Methodist council died on Tuesday, 16th May 2023.
