Obi, a presidential aspirant, had on Wednesday resigned his membership of the PDP and also withdrew from the party’s presidential primary. Araraume lost to Emma Okewulonu, at the Senatorial primaries of PDP, conducted at Aladimma mall in Owerri. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Development Economist, Chief Ikechi Emenike, has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primaries in Abia State. He polled 672 votes out of 892 total votes cast to pick the APC ticket. However, his joy was short-lived as an Abia High Court sitting in Umuahia affirmed his suspension from the party. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has declared a curfew in the state. The governor made the declaration in a state broadcast on Wednesday evening in Awka. Soludo took the decision following reports of wanton killings, kidnappings and other insecurity issues affecting the state.
