Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Ebonyi State government on Thursday denied allegations on social media that herdsmen were involved in the killing of a young lady in Onicha local government area. The body of the young lady from Amaporo village whose name could not be ascertained was found dead along a bush part between Agbebor, Isu and Onicha-Igboeze communities on Wednesday. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Anambra State Government has set September 30, as the official date to outlaw dumping of refuse and other waste materials on the road and along the streets of the state. The law, Ikengaonline learnt, was to ensure that Anambra State becomes one of the cleanest in the country, by December this year. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has given reasons some cattle were killed at Lokpanta in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State, explaining that the affected animals were grazing on people’s farms in violation of the anti-grazing law in the state. IPOB said the killing of the cattle was not targeted against Fulani legitimate business interest but a defense against the criminal activities of herders hiding under cattle rearing to perpetrate insecurity in the area.
