Lawrence Nwimo, Awka The police in Anambra State, on Sunday, said it killed two gunmen in different operations at Okija in the Ihiala Local Government Area of the state at the weekend. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Mrs Ann Agom-Eze, an Ebonyi South Senatorial District aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied allegations that she accepted a Toyota Prado Jeep, house, cash and landed property to step down for Governor David Umahi. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has appointed Mr Chooks Oko as his new Special Assistant on Media and Strategy. Mr Oko was until the appointment the Special Assistant to the governor on Strategy. The appointment was announced in a statement issued by Ugbala Kenneth Igwe, Secretary to the State Government and Coordinating Commissioner on Sunday. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has commended the United Nations, UN, for requesting the immediate and unconditional release of its detained Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
