Michael Onwuka, Enugu The Federal Government has reiterated and clarified its stance on the resignation of public office holders seeking elective positions in the 2023 general elections. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha in a circular dated May 11, 2022, listed the affected persons to include members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC). Others are Heads of Extra-Ministerial Departments, Agencies, Parastatals of Government, ambassadors and other political office holders. Michael Onwuka, Enugu Public primary school teachers in Enugu State have embarked on indefinite strike over the unwillingness of the state government to implement the N30, 000 minimum wage in the sector. Ikengaonline reports that the state wing of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), had in circular no. 001/05/2022 declared the commencement of the indefinite strike.
