Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Professor Greg Nwakobi, the Vice-Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, has given reasons his institution withdrew from the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). ASUU has been at loggerheads with the Federal Government following the government’s refusal to fulfill the agreements it reached with the Union since 2009. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, said it had deployed 419 personnel, patrol vehicles and ambulances across Abia State ahead of the Muslim Eid- el-Kabir holiday. FRSC Sector Commander in charge of Abia State, Mr. Paul Ugwu, who disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Umuahia, warned motorists against over speeding and route violation. Michael Onwuka, Enugu The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has raised concern over the infrastructural deficiencies in Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu. The Chairman of NAGAFF in Enugu State, Mr Raymond Okonkwo disclosed this on Friday in an interview with Ikengaonline in Enugu.
