Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was unable to declare the result of the governorship election for Ebonyi State on Sunday. It shifted the collation to 10 am Monday. Resident Electoral Commissioner, Pauline Onyeka announced this at around 6:30pm. She said the reason for the shift was due to inability of the Electoral officers of the remaining Íshíelu Local Government Area to compute their results accurately. Presiding Officer and Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO, Professor Nnenna Oti, announced the adjournment Sunday evening shortly after the Collation resumed after three-hour break. Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Sunday alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, officials have been abducted from the Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, and taken to an unknown destination by suspected agents of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has won the March 18 governorship election in Ukwa East Local Government Area according to the result declared by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. Local Government Collation Officer, Professor Gozie Ihekwaba presented the result at the State INEC Collation Centre Umuahia. PDP polled 2,329 out of the 7,761 total vote cast.
