Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri The court of Appeal sitting in Owerri on Tuesday ordered the unsealing of Owerri branches of Zenith banks, which were last Thursday sealed off by the National Industrial Court in Owerri, by a garnishee order to pay the Ex-deputy governor of Imo State, Eze Madumere, his entitlements alleged to be over N1.9 billion. Michael Onwuka, EnuguT The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has called for the extension of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) across the country. The Chairman of NUJ, Enugu State Council, Mr Sam Udekwe, made the call on Tuesday during a courtesy visit on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Enugu, Mr Emeka Ononamadu. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki A Federal High Court in Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi State, on Tuesday nullified the re-scheduled Primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held in the state on 4th and 5th of June 2022. Michael Onwuka, Enugu The new Director-General (DG), Projects Development Institute (PRODA), Mr Peter Ogbobe on Tuesday resumed duties with a commitment to fully commercialise research outcomes of the institute. Recall that the Federal Government had in a letter dated May 20, 2022 announced Ogbobe as the new DG of the institute for a non-renewable 5-year tenure.
