Ben Ezechime, Enugu Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has lost his bid to go to the Senate after his eight years tenure as governor. In the Presidential and National Assembly elections held on Saturday February 25, 2023, Ugwuanyi contesting on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lost to Barrister Okechukwu Ezea of Labour Party (LP). Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has suspended the fresh presidential and national assembly elections it earlier re-scheduled for tomorrow ( Monday). Head Voter Education and Public Enlightenment in the state, Mrs Rebecca Jim, who disclosed this in Umuahia, said that the Abuja headquarters of the commission, gave the counter  directive. Our Reporter, Abuja Labour Party (LP) has rejected the results of the presidential election held across the country yesterday (Saturday) describing it as ‘doctored.’ This was contained in a statement by its National Chairman, Julius Abure, on Sunday evening. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia The Labour Party has won the Isiala Ngwa North and South federal constituency of Abia State in Saturday’s National Assembly election. Labour Party candidate, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, scored 20411 votes to floor his closest rival, Professor Anthony Agbazuere of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who secured 13, 508 votes. The All Progressives Congress, APC, got 2, 976. Before joining the Labour Party mid-last year following some disappointments with Gov.
