Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri The Imo State Police Command arrested and detained the traditional ruler of Umucheke in Umuobom in the Ideato South Local Government Area of the State, Eze Ekene Obinali, Wednesday over the alleged sharing of a damaging report on the WhatsApp platform linking the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka Journalists in Anambra were, Friday, denied access to cover presentation of certificate of return of House of Assembly members elected during the March 18 election. Journalists, who trooped to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Awka, were turned back on the order of the Resident Electoral Commission (REC) Anambra State, Mrs Queen Agwu. The CSOs which addressed a press conference Friday in Abuja, called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to quickly withdraw the certificate of return it erroneously issued to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and organise a re-run poll in the zone. Ben Ezechime, Enugu The National Pension Commission (PenCom) has urged self employed Nigerians including artisans, traders, and others to enroll in the Micro Pension Plan of the Commission to guarantee a functional retirement plan. The Head, Corporate Communications of PenCom, Abdulqadir Dahiru, made the call in Enugu at a sensitisation workshop organised by the commission. Dahuru further stressed the importance of Micro Pension Plan to Nigerians in the informal sector and those working in organisations with less than three employees.
