Ben Ezechime, Enugu The Federal Government, in collaboration with the International Fund for Agricultural Development-Value Chain Development Programme (IFAD-VCDP), has distributed farm inputs worth millions of naira to 94 rural farmers in Enugu State. The free agro-inputs were distributed at the IFAD-VCDP office in Enugu to cushion the effect of 2022 flooding that ravaged some parts of the state. Some of the items given to the farmers include bags of Rice Seeds, Urea and NPK Fertilisers, Water Pump and Herbicides of selective and non-selective. Ikengaonline reports that, most transport companies are not recording appreciable passengers two days to the Christmas celebration. At the Garki motor parks, the fares from Enugu to Owerri remained N3000 by Sienna and N2500, by bus. Holy Ghost area, which has the largest concentration of transport companies, Ikengaonline observed there was no passenger-rush compared to previous seasons. Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has hit the Federal Government of Nigeria, over the alleged cancellation of the reconstruction of the Eastern Railway project by the Federal Government. In the petition signed by, Barr Olu Omotayo, President of CRRAN, the organization asked the CP to urgently intervene in the matter to ensure justice for the victim. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia All 17 Local Government Area Chairmen in Abia State, their Deputies and Councillors have been dissolved. Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, who approved the dissolution directed the former Council bosses to immediately hand over to the Head of Service in their respective LGAs.
