Lawrence Nwimo, Awka People of Ogwugwu/Umueze Oba community in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State have protested alleged encroachment on their ancestral lands and subsequent demolition of about 70 houses by some land grabbers aided by security operatives and suspected armed thugs. Ben Ezechime, Enugu Rev. Fr Victor Isiwu, Catholic Priest of St. Jude Catholic Church, Eburummiri, Ibagwa-Aka, Igboeze South Local Government Area, has allegedly been abducted by unknown persons. A source from the parish disclosed that the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday at the church premises when the priest was conducting adoration. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Gunmen on Friday night shot dead two members of Ebubeagu South-East Security Outfit in Ebonyi State. The incident happened at Ebebe Junction in Abakaliki, capital of the state.
