Lawrence Nwimo, Awka A man in Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra State is cooling his heels in police custody following the gruesome murder of his brother’s wife aged 40. The deceased, named Mrs Nkiru Okoye, hails from Abba in Njikoka LGA, same community with international award winning author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Association of South East Town Unions, ASETU and African Democratic Congress, ADC, on Sunday called for a one-month extension of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) for one month to allow residents register for their permanent voter’s card, PVC, at the various registration points. Michael Onwuka, Enugu The Federal Government has condemned the murder of a Nigerian, Mr Ogorchukwu Alika, 39, in Civitanova, Marche Province of Italy. A statement on Sunday by the Spokesperson of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs Fransisca Omayuli, described the incident as shocking and unjustifiable. Michael Onwuka, Enugu The Miyetti Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) says it is committed to ensuring peaceful coexistence and security in Enugu State. The South-East Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Gidado Siddiki disclosed this on Sunday in an interview with Ikengaonline in Enugu.
