Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia About 10 persons were feared dead following an explosion that occured at an illegal oil refinery located at Uzuaku Community in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State. Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri Maverick politician, and senator who represented Imo West Senatorial District from 1999-2007, Senator Francis Arthur Uzoma Nzeribe, from Umudei village of Oguta Local Government Area, is dead at the age of 83. He died last Thursday. The family announced the death of the Senator on Sunday in a statement to newsmen in Owerri and signed by the Royal Palace, Eze Nnani Nzeribe, Eze Eyiche paramount ruler of Oguta. Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri The Imo State Police Command on Sunday, said two kidnap victims, were freed last Thursday while nine suspected kidnappers were arrested after police operatives raided the suspects’ hideouts in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
