Michael Onwuka, Enugu The President General, Imilike-Agu Town Union (IATU) worldwide, Mr Paulinus Nnadi, has called on members of the community to embrace peace and unity in order to usher in the needed development in the area. Ike Nnachi, Abakaliki Gunmen numbering over 20 have reportedly attacked the people of Ukwagba Ngbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, killing at least one of the residents. It was gathered that the incident occurred on Monday afternoon. Two villages in the community namely: Ojiugo and Okpochiri were affected by the attacks with at least one person confirmed dead by residents. Lawrence Nwimo, Awka A rights group, the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety), has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of failure to register over thirty million eligible citizens in the ongoing continuous voter card registration in the country. Nonsochukwu Uwa, Owerri The Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma’s Special Adviser on Political Matters, Batos Nwadike, on Monday resigned from his position and demanded refund of N77 million, the money he had allegedly spent running his office for the past two years. Stephen Ukandu, Umuahia Justice Olukayode Ariwoola has been sworn in by President Muhammadu Buhari as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN. His has replaced former CJN, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, who resigned on health grounds.
