Following the rancour and disagreements that attended the recent State Congress and Gubernatorial Primary Elections in Lagos and Osun States respectively, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has set up a Special Reconciliation Committee (SRC).
The Committee is headed by the party’s candidate in the last Ondo gubernatorial election, Eyitayo Jegede SAN, who was named Chairman.
A press statement from the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, stated that the Committee is to “address certain issues in both Lagos and Osun states chapters of the party.”
“The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted a Special Reconciliation Committee (SRC) to address certain issues in both Lagos and Osun States chapters of our Party.
“The Reconciliation Committee is charged with the responsibility of reconciling all our various stakeholders including aspirants in the just concluded State Congress and Governorship Primary Election respectively in Lagos and Osun States,” the statement read.
Other members of the Committee are H.E. Chief Mrs. Mutiat Ladoja; Barr. Monsuru Olakukoyi; Alhaji Chief Kunmi Mustapha; Hon. Tolagbe Animasahun; Hon. Awila Banigo; and Elder Olusola Sunday Soledolu. Also included are Barr. Mrs. Abimbola Lanre Balogun; Dr. Kayode Adaramodu who will act as Secretary and Hon. Adegbite Adedamola who was named Administrative Secretary.
